I live in Battle Ground, Washington. While our brugs grow quite well during the summer, when we tried to overwinter 3 of them this last year, none of them made it. So what do we do to bring them in and hold them over the winter? We don't have a green house. About the best we could do would be an unheated (though insulated) garage. Thoughts?

I wonder if an unheated hoophouse would work in 8a. I had one last winter in 9B and it was great. That is if you do not want them to go dormant in your garage. How cold does it get in your garage?
I carry mine into basement, do NOT cut back 4'-5' ones, they drop leaves over winter, but have had good luck for
5 years. Temps are 50-60 degrees, only one tiny basement window where they are. I grow some under florescent lights upstairs, also have lots of windows.
