Our Tatia has gone to Doggie Heaven (or would it be Wolfie Heaven) for a couple of years now, and I am just itching to get another canine pet. Tatia was a large dog and used to take up a lot of room...especially in the kitchen! When I was busy, and hurriedly trying to prepare supper Tatia would choose to stretch out right in the middle of the floor. I had to step over her everytime I wanted to get into the refrigerator...and at the same time, being careful not to step on her! (You just DON'T step on a wolf hybred, accidentally nor otherwise!!)
We miss her terribly, so I would like to get another dog, but this time something smaller....maybe a cute little dog that would fit into a lap. Since I once raised Mini Schnauzers I am inclined into that direction.
My husband and son both say that there are so many unwanted pets in the shelters, and that we should adopt! However, there are no Schnauzer breeders anywhere near where I live.
Upon wandering on the web I came across several breeders that will ship a puppy. How in the world would they do that without traumatizing the poor little pup???? Also, they are quite pricey on their puppies, which I guess is what they would be in this modern economy. A whole lot more than what I charged for my puppies when I sold them.
