She is so precious! Great photo Kell!!!!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

You wonder how she could be comfortable on that little chair? What a great picture.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Kell, that is so sweet. I always enjoy your pics!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Too cute.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

My my kell, do your talents never end?
Your photos are always great :)
Just wondering, how many have made the photo of the day?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

She looks content in her garden!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Oh that's so cute.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I bought a set of those at a garage sale. I usually only buy chairs with no seats but I liked the look of those. They are very heavy and old. I love old. LOL.

Here she is the other day in a bonsai pot. She is the only cat I have that will let me take her picture. All the others run.

My husband calls her Molly Mouse! She is tiny.

PS Thanks for missing me Ma Vie. I was giving you guys a rest from my ever constant yammering! No new camera yet, I am still tormenting myself with indecision. Need to buy a new car also and have my house painted. I am also driving my DH nuts. I can't make a decision on any front. LOL

I know Vi! LOL. I work very hard on my pics though. Sometimes over and over again until I get the look I want. I can take 300 if the subject is good one. Sometimes it is hard just picking one to post. Sometimes I have done tons and do not get one I would post.

Cute cat!
I'm curious, what do you do with chairs without seats?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, you have to show her a picture of one. They are gorgeous the way she uses them.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Awwwww......I love kitties, she is a doll.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

She looks like a sweet kitty.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

She is so cute! I've tried to get pictures of my kittens all curled up together asleep, but I can't sneak up on them. At least one of them always wakes up, and then gets the others up, too. Emily was sleeping on the bench on the front porch today with her tail hanging down, and Brianna was batting it with her paws. THAT didn't wake her up, but if I'd gone out there, she would have been up in a shot!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

My problem also Ronna, they just refuse to hold a pose! LOL

Paintedlady, what else would I do but make a garden chair! I plant in them! LOL. I have tons of them. Unfortunately, this year they did not look their best due to neglect. My husband took care of my plants for over 7 weeks this summer and his instructions were to keep the brugs alive at all costs. So he kind of let somethings go a bit. There is always next year, I hope!

I just love your chairs!Mine did not work out this year,I am not going to give up,after seeing yours!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Brilliant idea, so pretty. Love those chairs.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Molly is so adorable Kell. She looks so contented.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Those CA flowers are a sight to behold. My son who lives in LA told me I would to crazy when I saw the flowers there. By the middle of June petunias, etc. kick the bucket here. It is hard to keep anything looking good in our South Texas heat.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I actually had petunias live outside thru the winter last year. I hope this winter is not brutal. I am leaving out lots of brugs. Sink or swim time!

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Maybe someone already said it, but picture purrfect, Kell :)

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

How cute!

Jacksonville, IL(Zone 5a)

Your little one is so darling! Just fits in those pots! And your chair is magnificent! That should be a picture of the day also! Great photos!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Thanks so much! They are fun and so easy to do. I go to flea markets and whenever I see a cheap old garden chair I grab it. My DH hates them!!

I took a pic of a current chair. The cats are feasting on the petunias suddenly. And the cucumber beetles are suddenly here!

Kell try the hydrogen peroxide, soap and water solution, it works! i got rid of them buggers in my yard.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

As Lisa Robertson on QVC says "love, love, love that picture."

Jacksonville, IL(Zone 5a)

Oh, what a pretty spot! Kind of reminds me of an "Alice in Wonderland" scene. Don't know why! I especially like the ice cream chair type. I saw some of these chairs posted on Dave's last summer, maybe by you also, and I meant to try it out on one of my white wicker chairs that are rotting away outside near the garden. One of them has lost its seat which would be perfect for a "flower chair." But of course, I didn't get 'round toit. Hopefully next year for sure!

What do you use for the base of the plants you put in the bottomless chair? Or are the flowers just planted in the ground and grow up through the seat? Thanks.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Roshana, it depends. If I can find a plastic pot that will fit in the seat hole and hang over the rim for support, I will use that. They dry out much slower. Get as big a pot as you can fit.

If not or if the chair hole is a weird shape, I use a wire basket and push it in to fit and then lace it in with wire attached to the rim. I fill the basket with moss and then I can plant up the sides of the basket in the moss as well as on top. These do dry out quickly. Impatiens look great in the ones you plant up the sides.

Jacksonville, IL(Zone 5a)

Thanks for the tips, Kell. I only hope mine will look half as wonderful as yours do!
