Pretty and I love the way the calyx hugs the flower. I am glad you are having blooms Barbara after all that you went thru this summer.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Very nice! Does it smell good?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Barbara, this is not Citronella. Being out of the same cross like Golden Lady, Citronella has very small flowers.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Thanks monika, will check the where I acquired it. Any ideas of what it is?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Monika, is Citronella a slow grower? I have one and it hasn't seemed to grow much at all this summer. It's too shaded where it is now. I imagine it would do batter in a different location.

Barb, is your yellow or white? It's a lovely shaped bloom.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Oh Sorry Barb. I hope it wasn't something you imported.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

very dramatic picture Barb.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I have no idea what it could be Barbara. I have a picture of Citronella. Its in the old Preissel book, therefore copyrighted.
poppysue, Citronella grows slow, the color is a cream.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Well, whatever it is ..it is lovely!
Hopefully, you can identify.

Sue, your Citronella here is coming along nicely.
Hopefully, will have a bloom soon. Maybe Monika could comment.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Here is my Citronella. I have two different plants. This one bloomed and is a slow grower. The other one grew very big, but we had a storm and it got broken so I haven't seen it bloom yet.

Susie, yours is very pretty.
I like how it is short and emerges from the calyx.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I like a low calyx also! Does it have a lemon scent Suz?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Barbara, I cannot help you in ID this plant. Its a common hybrid type. Its like the many Frosty Pinks.
