Lovely Photo!
Thanks! This went in fairly late because of our extended periods in the 100's this summer. Am hoping for a nice warm wet winter so it will go crazy next Spring....I'll let you know come around April.
Happenstance, I have seen so many gorgeous vines down in your area, lucky you. The distictis vines there in the Bay Area are just out of this world.
I'm trying three different vines on three seperate arbors to see how they do here in 9b.....am hoping they will engulf that side of the garden. These all do beautifully in Berkeley which is much cooler and doesn't have our wind.
Bignonia capreolata 'Dragon Lady'
Distictis buccinatoria - Blood-Red Trumpet Vine (was Bignonia cherere)
Campsis x tagliabuana 'Mme Galen'
The more common vines do well here in our heat/wind:
Solanum jasminoides - White Potato Vine
Pandorea jasminoides 'Alba'
Jasminum officinale - White Jasmine
I am drooling here, will be in your area in a week, Happenstance.
