Aren't the "rocket ship" appearing objects blooms not yet open or blooms going to seed? Nice photo.

sorry for the late response...not blooms, just new leaves coming out...have seen this one bloom tho, and it looks very similar, but when open it is light yellow or off-white color...these just opened into pretty green and red leaves...thanks...until next time, Becky...

Becky, photos can be so deceiving sometimes. The blooms are very unique. The first time I saw a bloom, I was fascinated. Caladiums are such beautiful plants.
