Well, I have bad news and great news. The seeds that I thought were agave aren't. They are Texas Red Yucca. I found the plant at the nursery and it was positively indentified as the Yucca not agave. So to all those that were sent seeds for agave and wanted agave I'm sorry. However, the Texas Red Yucca is even better. Hummers and buterflies love this plant and it's quite a prety plant.
If you want these seeds email me and you will have them for SASE. I will try and send a picture with the seeds along with growing instructions and soil requirements. Very easy to grow.
I'm still learning and this was a real learning experience.

I have a few more trades of these seeds if any one is interested. Just email me and the first four will get them.

Texas Red Yucca - Hesperaloe parviflora
The picture in the DB doesn't really do this plant justice. It's much prettier then shown there.
You have mail.
I would really like a few of these please send your address and I will get an SASE in the mail immediately. Thanks for your consideration.
Alice

Tombstone, I would love to try this if you have any left.

This is great! I'm collecting seeds native to the southwest to sow on our property in southeastern Arizona. So now I can grow it here in Illinois AND there, in AZ.
I'm excited! It looks beautiful.

Haven't you ever heard that expression before? It just means that when someone does something nice for you, you do something nice for someone else and it just keeps going and going on and on. Pay It Forward. Get it?
Duh...Nope,never heard it,but it is cute.

Texas Red Yucca is a member of the Agave family ;-)
Thanks Scooterbug, It is true that I said agave but in researching the plant I discovered it was a yucca plant which is in the agave family. Whew! This is still learning a learning process for me. Please hang in there with me.
To all that received seeds, let me know how the plants develope for you all. Thanks
Wow! That is pretty too. Where did that pic come from and do you think we can get some seeds for that color?
I read about the yellow, took me forever (hours) to find the photo of it,let alone SEEDZ. Starting to think they are still too new to be available,I even tried to find an overpriced plant....no-go.
Sometimes I will pay $$ if I must have it and I think I can propogate it somehow. I like to split up perennials when I buy them at HD or Walmart early in the season,2-4 plantz for the price of one,it's a good thing, heheheh.
shirley >^,,^< SB
Seeds are all gone for now. More next year.
Thanks to you all for all the sharing you have given to me.
Pay It Forward :~)
Jan
If anyone is still looking for these seeds, please LMK.
The plants around my area are seeding now.
Same SASE offer as Jan's.
(Hope this is ok with you, Jan.)
