Everything on my monitor is shrinking.......HELP!

When I turned on my computer today, I had an error message and everything was frozen (can't remember the specifics except it said it had performed an illegal operation and would shut down). So I did Conrol/Alt/Delete but when it came back up all the windows were tiny and so is the print and all the toolbars. The desktop itself and its icons were all tiny although the wallpaper was the normal size. I went into settings and changed icons to large which brought them up to normal size but they were still arranged as if on a small window. Please help! My eyes are going crazy trying to read this tiny print. :^()
