Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

I know this is a dead time of the week to post but I'll do it anyway.

We've been having some chilly nights here. Down in the upper 40s sometimes. Then warmer during the days. I started cleaning the plant room again yesterday. So much to get done in there. It sort of became the junk room during the summer. The house plants seem to do ok outside yet. I guess the warmth of the soil still radiates some heat during the nights. But I know it won't be long and I'll have to bite the bullet and bring them in for the winter.

Holly just arrived for the weekend. Kyle said the other day that unless it was really storming badly they would get the excavator and dig the last trenches for the trailer foundation as well as sewer lines and the hole for the septic tank this weekend. There still is so much to do before they can move the trailer to the permanent site. Hopefully the concrete for the new trenches will arrive during the week. He wants it to set for at least a week, maybe 2 before putting the trailer on it.

Our new meat grinder came yesterday after I left for work. Jack called and told me about it. I want to try to grind some meat today before I go in to work just to see how well it does.

Mary, did you buy the new Arabian horse? I haven't seen anymore about it lately and wondered.

KathyJo, congratulations on the weight loss! WOW, that was a lot of weight to lose. About what I need to lose but likely never really will.

I couldn't get thru to our oldest daughter in Richmond, VA yesterday before I went to work. I'll try again later this morning. Even the cell phone couldn't get thru.

Has anyone heard from Kathleen? I thought it looked as tho she might be in the path of that storm. DG had lots of folks in the path and there have been postings in other forums from and about them and their situations. 700 Club announced yesterday that they had already send in emergency supplies before the storm actually hit some areas. Mostly food and cleaning supplies I think. I'm sure the folks down there will need a lot help cleaning up after this one. Wish I could go and help.

GOD bless and keep each and all of you.
