Malva sylvestris mauritiana. I love the deep purple of it.

I have Zebrina, but would love the darker one.

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

Kathleen, is this really similar to Zebrina but just darker??? If so that is like a weed around here, I would be happy to find some seed. Joann

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Ursula are you on here?? You had some???

Cassopolis, MI(Zone 5a)

I have two and can't decide between them, I had not ever seen a Dorothy Rose Columbine until recently and it only took one look before I was hooked, I also have been looking and hoping to find a BlueLight Clematis at a price I can afford and so far haven't been that lucky.

Someday!!!!

(Zone 5b)

Mine is to find schisandra chinensis. Hardy in my zone, nice looking leaves and pretty flowers, can grow in sun or shade, and it's also an herb. How perfect is that?

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

Kathleen, that is what I have, what you posted in the link. I will check for seeds first thing in the morning.

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Good That is why I started this thread-someone out there has what we crave.

Richland Center, WI(Zone 4a)

Marclay, this is a great thread. Wish I had found this before I made a post but will do it here also. I am looking for a papaver orientale 'Princess Victoria Louise' this particular poppy has a very speacial meaning behind it. Would appreciate for sase or for trade or to purchase. Thanks Tami

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

Tami, I might have some seed for that! I started two for my mother and me this spring, but I think they both died in the rains.

Joann, I would be ahappy woman if you could find some!

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Kathleen - do you need the Mauritiana malva? I have got the real deep purple Malva sylvestris ssp. mauritiana seeds, from my own plants. I grew them for the first time this year, sowed them outdoors in May and they started blooming in mid-July, and they were just absolutely full of flowers. Looked great. They are still putting our a few flower, and they are very big.. And they are full of seedpods now, most ready to be harvested :)

Want any?

Richland Center, WI(Zone 4a)

Yes Kathleen that would be wonderful I will trade, SASE, what ever you need, for just a few seeds Thanks so much.

Evert, would be polite for me to ask for some of your
Mauritiana malva? I have the Zabrina and I think these
together would enhance the beauty of the other one. I Will
do SASE or trade what ever you need Thanks Tami

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

The seed I have been trying to track down is White flowering Borage. It looks just like the blue, except white flowers. I saw it in one of my herb books--now I'm obsessed...Deb

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Valleruata, I have grown white Borage for two past years.. I will check tomorrow (or today in our time) whether they have any seeds in them.

rural, WY(Zone 3a)

Gunnera separates quite easily into smaller plants. If done while young it is surprisingly easy.

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Hi Dennis I am hunting some seeds or a start Shirley

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

Marclay, sorry but I do not have a Lapageria rosea. They don't grow in the wild (anymore) in the Central area of Chile where I live and they don't survive well in the polluted environment of the big city.

I might have some seeds a friend gave me a few years ago - he has a little nursery at the coast - but I don't think they are viable anymore. I tried them without success. I have heard they must be planted VERY FRESH.

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Thanks Ursula

Marclay,is that Gunnera Manicata you're looking
for. If so, i have a few left from the package i
bought this year. I have e-mailed you.

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Thanks Bitty See folks Someone has it, Ask away.

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

Does anyone have Rudbekia Prairie Sun?

Welches, OR(Zone 6b)

evert--thank you for checking! You are the first person I've known to grow it. Does it taste the same as the blue? This is a great thread to start. I have seen a similar one on Gw. However, I have found more serious information about plants here. Thanks for the thread...deb

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Yes, it tastes just the same.. I will go outside now, to check for the seeds. They are kind of gone already, they bloomed so early and made tons of seeds, but most of them fell to the ground.

Email me your address just for sure..

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

Marclay, http://www.gardenmakers.com has gunnera seeds for sale. I just submitted this company to garden watchdog and I have no idea of the service but they do have some rare seeds available.

Sadly I bought two gunnera plants this year and both of them died. Not an easy plant in the desert. Just love em though!

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Thanks Ponditis

"down the Shore", NJ(Zone 7a)
