Hi everyone !
I am from Loysville (in Perry County). Zone 6.
Well I have to explain that I joined up with DG in June. I fell in love with this place instantly. FACT IS, that I got SO addicted to the PDB, Perennial, and Daylily forums that I just discovered this forum only about a week ago.
I am truely amazed at the interaction between all you guys from all over everywhere.
I myself, am no expert at anything. I just love flowers.
My gardens consist of mostly easy ones like:
Coreopsis, Gallardia, Salvia, Sedum, Coral Bells, Helenium,
and Stella de Oro Daylilies.
This summer I added a hosta garden under my big old maple tree. Also this year (my newest addiction) a daylily bed.
I also have a small hand-dug pond with goldfish & koi which I enjoy tremendously.
As I said "no expert at anything"...that means I don't know how to post pictures or anything either yet but, some day when I do figure it out I will enjoy being able to share my gardens with all of you.
Guess you can tell I don't like to talk much either. HA !

Hi Roadrunner, Nice to meet you. Thenks for the invitation to chat.I did fumble my way into the chat room one time. (just read what others were saying) Holy Cow ! It was moving so fast I didn't have time to blink between the replies. Not so sure I can keep. I may jump in sometime to give it a whirl.
Welcome yardgirl.
Welcome yardgirl. Hope you are staying dry as Isabel visits!
Hi yardgirl, we are glad to have you join in the fun and learning here on Davesgarden.
yardgirl - welcome to d.g. i recently learned how to post pictures. its pretty easy. enjoy the site.
Hi Yardbird, nice to meet you. You didn't know that you were playing tricks on me without even knowing it. A few times while I was scrolling through the forums and threads I saw my DG name going by and would have to go back to see that it was posted by Yardbird instead. I've wised up now.
Hi Darius, Thanks for thinking of me through Isabel. I was without power for 11 hours. Other than that, we were very fortunate. Perry County is surrounded by moutains and they protected us. How did you get through it ? I certainly hope well. Glad to meet you.
Hi MaryE, nice to meet you also. I feel like a kindergartener in the school of DG. I have much to learn and you folks are all so nice.
Hi Herbie43, Happy to meet you. I'm always on the slow end of things. First problem is that I had my film developed to pictures before I found DG. So now my first step is to get them put on a disc I guess. (At least I got the flower pictures developed. I probably still have my undeveloped family Christmas films from 5 years ago laying around somewhere. I think I should have posted that on the "You might be a gardener if.." thread.
