It looks like another plant!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

In 1 week the color went from a good dark pink to a pale pink. What gives? Could it just be the weather? We just finished 3 days of heat.

This one was taken just 1 week ago of a bloom from the same plant.

Another amazing photo & brug, Kell! How many brugs do you have? Are most in the ground?

Wow I love those tendrils! It must be the heat, isn't it strange the way the temps seem to change their colors so much.

I think the daylength affects them too. It's still pretty Kell.

I also think day length has something to do with it. It is still pretty.

I don't know about you, Kell, but I think that very pale mauve looking color is gorgeous. Wish we could get one that is that color all the time.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I like the pale one also. I know that everyone is striving for the very dark pink ones, but I kind of like the pale ones best. Guess I'm just a washed out kind of person. LOL

I guess I should not complain, at least I have tons of blooms and buds. I was just so happy when this new tree started blooming for it was so much darker than the one it the backyard. Then it reverted! LOL

I think the dark is so desirable because it is not yet easily attainable so it is not all over my yard yet.

It's still pretty Kell.
