take a picture of my night blooming cereus cactus. It has quite a few blooms open on it right now. I don't know how to use that stupid camera at night though. Heck if you look at the pics i've been posting you'll see that i don't even know how to use it during the day.
I can't take pics of it tommorow either because as soon as the flowers open fully on this plant they immediately start to close back up. The whole blooming process takes just a few hours from start to finish and then they are gone.

Shucks!! I just got one started this year. Well, there are six in the pot. How big is yours? Do you whack it back every year? I know absolutely nothing about them so if I need to do something special to get mine to bloom, would you let me know? Email would be fine. Thanks David.

Cat, just go out and snap the picture. it may have an automatic flash, thatis how I take all of mine. I do not change my camera settings at all. Do not stand too far away.

Kell,
I tried to take a pc like thta but it didn't turn out. All I have at themoment is just one of those cheap polaroid izone cameras. I'm sure it would take ok pics if I just kew how to use it. The one picture I did try and take of this flower was with the auto flash ,standing about a foot or maybe a foot and ahalf away and all i got was a big white ball from the reflection of the flash.

Shirley I bought mine last year and you really don't have to do anything special to them to make them bloom. I use MG on it every now and again but not often. They just bloom when they get ready to . Mine stays outside all spring and summer in bright indirect sunlight and then in the gh for the winter. The nursery that i got mine from had only potted them several weeks before i bought it and it still bloomed last year.

break down and read the manual, lol. also trial and error helps. I learned to always keep my macro on and it keeps the light from washing out my pictures.

like I know what macro is. Hello Kell, you're talking to a retard here.(LOL)

Hey, so am I! LOL. After a year of heavy use I actually read my manual today, just before I am going to get a new camera. I discovered the reason my landscape shots were so poor was because they have a different setting for this! LOL. It suddenly dawned on me as I read my 100th camera review that discussed this setting and that my camera should have one also! lol

and we do not call our kind retarded, but blonde! Sound so much more fun to be.

This is the last flush of bloom on mine, didn't capture all the blooms, there were more, but this was all I could get in the pic. It has had 3 flushes of blooms this year.

mine had more last night and I didn't realize it but it has some more small ones that'll open soon. The buds grow really fast on these.
