Brugnanny, this is a pic of the gold lycoris or spider lilies that I sent you. Not a good pic but it will give you some idea of how your flowers will look once the bulbs start producing for you

That's the first gold Spider Lily I've seen. Thanks for sharing.

it was given to me by a great aunt of mine who passed away about 6-7 years ago. She really kept up with the latest plants.I began with about 3 bulbs and they do not increase like the red ones do so rapidly. So it has taken me this long just to get about a dozen bulbs which I have shared out now until I only have about 3 left for myself again and as you can see they are coming into bloom now.
They do come in several other colors though including lavender, orange, white, yellow, pink and a deeper red than the old fashioned ones that you see so often. The only downside to the colored ones is that you can expect to pay an average of about $20 per bulb for them and then most of the time the place that I know has them is sold out.
I have sent an email to a place about a spider lily special that they have advertised to see if any are still available. The offer includes pink, white, red, yellow and orange. I'm just waitng for a reply and i'm guessing that i'm not going to get it before monday.

very pretty! I should try growing these again. In the distance past I tried several times and always killed them.
