Saw sweet Furball scoooting across the hallway yesterday. We went to the vet, and, after shaving some hair off, he proceeded to squEEEEEEEEze those glands... OWWIE! Poor baby girl screamed something fierce... she already doesn't like the vet, and after that, she was really angry with just about everybody. Once we got home, she was back to herself, purring and allowing me to pet her. Seems to be well today.

Does anybody else have to have this done to their cats? How often? Anything that can be done to prevent it?
