I hope that I haven't posted this here already. This is a 7 year old (magic number) cardiocrinum. It blooms then the mother plant dies and you wait for 7 years until the pups bloom. It's gorgeous and if nothing else it teaches you patience.

That was a great find, Liz! Mine has been in ground for 5 or 6 years now but I'm not sure if it made it this year. Leaves turned brown and flopped early. Patience is OK but not if I don't ever see a bloom.
Patience and some stability in domicile. Gardeners are probably a major force in domestic stability. How could any of you contemplate moving?
I can't ever move. All my plants would have to be carried up all the stairs.
