Hey Arlene!

Do you remember sending out cuttings from Eric a while back. I think it was the fall before last. I recieved some cuttings marked "Frosty Pink hybrid". I assumed it was an Eric cross that looked like FP. The plant never bloomed last year but I've had several blooms this year.

Anyhoo... I have been going all summer long thinking this plant was Dr. Suess. I even collected it's pollen, and used it as a pollen doner. This morning I thought... I wonder why that Dr.S isn't turning orange like my other one. I thought .... maybe it's in too much shade. I finally bent down and looked at the tag... it's the Frosty Pink hybrid. What a numbskull I can be!

Is this what the FP hybrid is supposed to look like? I had expected it to be pink. Or maybe it's a tag mix up??

Wow a yellow Frosty! I like it. And it is so wide open. And of course another great pic Sue!

Sue, i have no clue! i looked in my records, i did log some things i mailed out that fall, but not yours. I do have 2 jamaican yellow seedlings that i have kept so far, that are like huge pale, shiny frosties. he did some crosses that were i think frosty X dr suess, maybe vice versa, and maybe it's a cutting from a seedling i had from him, but that is a guess and maybe not a good one. i did send cuttings of some of his before they bloomed for me.

Hmmm. I'll be darned! I think I might have passed on some cuttings from this one before it bloomed too. Me might be flooded with yeller Frosties before too long. It doesn't look as golden in this photo but it does look a lot like Dr. Suess. The blooms just don't darken to orange like he does.

You might want to check out some of the Isabella seedlings in my journal. Seeds came from you but I wasn't real sure if they were your crosses... or seeds you sent out for Eric. They're the IsaxBF crosses. I got a couple of nice pinks but they look a lot like their momma. http://davesgarden.com/j/vbc/poppysue/10243/

I just love your journal Sue. So neat and organized. I just love E4. It is a monster brug! Those flowers are truly amazing. Who are the parents? I hope you are putting something dark pink and dark yellow on it!

Ursaline x Austrailie #00 and Ursaline x Cuba #2 are great also! You are so lucky to have grown such great ones!

Sue that link didn't work for me either, but it would let me go in and edit?? You may want to check on that so you don't get any 'help'. LOL
