It certainly is.

Stunning photo ~ like Beleek.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

So pretty and not a single flaw.

Yes flawless, but such a short lifespan....the white really shows the decay so quickly and gets brown spots after just a day. Our cooler weather the last few days is extending that period of perfection and the cool nights help too.

I can almost picture that as a Georgia O'Keeffe painting - the photo is perfect.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Another beautiful brug and pic of it.

I do hand painted china, so know a little about porcelain and old vintage china.

Thanks for sharing.

How do you do it? Just beautiful.

Wow!

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

sbarr, good call! i couldn't think exactly what it was reminding me of, but you nailed it!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So very pretty! Sadly, I think this is the last year I am going to grow this one. It sure can put on a great show!

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

kell - are you just moving on to bigger and better things?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, Sbarr! This one is a messy brug. It constantly is dropping leaves or flowers and the flowers stay on too long when brown. Mites just love it! In its favor, it flowers continuously and abundantly. It puts out varying types of flowers and has a nice scent. I have one that is over 12 feet tall and one that is a small bush at about 4 feet, and 3 more in between. If I had a huge yard I would keep it, but I do not!

Last year when I think it was Brugie who said she was going to stop growing this one, I was so shocked and thought she was nuts! LOL

Also this one is grown all over here so I can see it everyday and not have to take care of it! LOL

LOL Liz, I have lots of Belleek!

OK, so what in the heck is it?

Please don't say Golden Lady!

The form is just lovely. I'd love to find out what the name of it is so I can get sick of it next year. *grin*

Up here in Albany, NY - I don't think I have seen another one outside except mine. There was a tiny one at a nursery that was so sad looking - people were walking by and asking what it was.

I live on a very busy street, a stoplight at my corner and am hoping to put up a fairly decent display. The glads and castors and sunflowers have been impressive - but, a half dozen tall brugs, now that will be a site. People up here aren't especially innovative with their yards, so I stick out with my glads, daturas, castors, etc. Not that I'm especially talented, but it's not the same old black eyed susans, hostas (everyone here has the exact same WalMart variety) and tons of pink impatiens.

Happenstance, Lovely photo, and does look like porcelain. Very pretty. Donna

It is 'Double White' backlit by just a touch of late afternoon sun reflected behind it.

Mine is not messy, but in our heat it does tend to brown out pretty fast. There are so many blooms and buds that deadheading it seems to really spur it on to bigger and better things with each flush of new blooms.

Is yours in the ground? I find in pots it dries out frequently, too frequently. However it does recover quickly and puts out new leaves fast. I agree, it is in constant bloom, LOL. I will talk, myself into keeping mine!

With our heat here in HOT CoCo County and the wind, there is no way I could grow these in pots. They drink too much and the wind here pulls grown trees out of the ground, blows 40lb clay pots around like toys, and strips the paint off houses. :-)

Mine is in the ground, gets about 3 hours of morning sun, full shade the rest of the day and is on the protected side of the house. We shall see how it survives the winter winds.

Here it goes by the name of Candida double white Sbarr and Vi.

I bet your garden is the envy of all Sbarr!

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

kell - my neighbor told me a couple of weeks ago: "Oh, you're in the yard so much, I feel sorry for you"....and then a sentence later "I'm always looking forward when I drive home to see what new things you have" - She's the lucky one, she sees more of my yard than I do - her bay window overlooks my hosta bed that has the brugs and a bunch of daylilies and daturas to the side.

I'm already planning for next year - moving the brugs around the corner to the side along the busy street - catch a few motorists' eyes.

Thanks for the name - hopefully I can track down some cuttings.

I have a CDW that is just small. If I can successfully keep it over winter, maybe, just maybe I can have a bloom like that next year.
