My neighbor Denise's son, Diego, is getting his new notebook/laptop in the next few days. He has grown up on Apple (school and Dad's house), but also likes his Mom's PC with Windows XP. OK, so Denise needs to get him one or the other in the next couple of days. She's willing to spend $1600. Myself, I've always done PCs and would love to learn Mac, but when I look at the actual power/punch for the money, PCs win hands-down. So far he knows he wants the largest monitor and the most RAM he can get. When I look, there's no question, I'd go with the PC-compatible. What arguments and/or suggestions does anyone have that might help in the decision?
