Here we go...the best fish....

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Yesterday at the local creek i saw a sight that made me jump for joy.Quite literally.
Those that know me knowthat I am constantly watching wildlife.
I monitor the local fauna everyday.
At the creek a couple years ago I noticed a serious decline in our johnny darters.
I mean they went from a group of 10 every 30 foot or so down to ZERO.
It had me very upset, I thought they were gone for good.
Well, yesterday I saw one.
You should have seen me chasing it, (had left my nets at home)..I wanted to check it's specs.
He/She got away, finito.
Going later today to check for more.
The decline of one simple fish could spell disaster for many animals in a single area.
I am still curious about their sudden decline, might call the local fish and game and ask about it.
That made my day,LOL.

Here are some links, (at the bottom) about Darters.
And to boot I caught a nice brim for my aquarium.:).
I named him bob,Bob the Brim.
Buhahahaa! Lemme see if I can get a pic.......
Sorry for the lack of quality.
Gins, I NEED your digi cam,LOL!
