Good Morning All! No losses OR gains for me this week. Of course I'm disappointed but not surprised. Celebrating dd's birthday, going away and eating a few things I shouldn't have, and "not keeping up" with pf is definitely showing. I read the other day that when women begin menopause, their metabolism drops by 20 to 30%. YUK! It also said that while muscle burns fat and you can build muscle through strength training, in order to build enough muscle to burn the fat we would like, we would have to lift weights to the point of total exhaustion several times a week. It said the key to weight loss/maintenance is "MOVEMENT". For example, it said if you sit in your car and drive through McDonalds, and sit in car while it's going through the car wash and during this time you are on your cell phone arranging for your grass to be cut by someone else, you will probably never lose weight. And the final words it said - "Ladies, start your engines!" :-)
