I will be growing them in a pot in my appartment and, or on my Balcony in Zone 8a. Can you point me to some simple tips on getting them started. I do have a grow light on a stand and setting on top of my refrigerator but this will be the first time to use it. I've been gathering my tools and trying to decide what to grow. Chives have been on the list from the beginning.

I used to have them in my herb garden in Maine that was just by my kitchen door but I didn't plant that garden. I only rescured it and enjoyed it's bounty.

I have lived in Atlanta now for 25 years and haven't grown a thing here. I'm home 24/7 now and have decided to take up gardening in my 9th floor appartment.
