B. creamsickle

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I just had to show off my creamsickle. Some of my other brugs this year have been a disappointment, but this one has done fantastic and it smells so good.
When it first opens as these buds did , they are off -white. But as they age they turn orange/white.

WOW a real big plant and lots of blooms. I am so impressed! Mine is in an alley tree shape. Your blooms look so nice. Are you having trouble with the edges and tendrils browning fast? Sadly, I am!

Yours is so impressive. I hope it goes into a full bloom for you, can you see 100 blooms on this? Just great!!

Hi Kell, I haven't had any trouble with browning of the tendrils yet. But our last couple months have been cooler than normal. I have been having trouble with spider mites this year which I haven't had to deal with before. Thankfully creamsickle isn't one of the infected ones. I also planted all my hoya's out in their pots this year. I am moving this Fall and wanted to be able to take some of them with me. I can't believe that creamsickle got this large since it is potted in a 2 gal pot that is sunk into the ground.

Nice! Mine had big buds, kept falling off. Found spidermites and they really took over for a week, of no rain. Now, getting buds again. Sure hope to see them bloom before we get frost.

What a great shot! Your garden is lovely and your creamsickle blooms is fantastic. Mine didn't look very good at all. I'm thinking it was the heat?
Did you get your Greenhouse yet?

Your Creamsickle looks great and the other flowers are pretty too. I would love to see a picture when it changes to peach. Thanks for this shot. Very nice.

No greenhouse yet. My husband decided that our yard was just too small for one, so we are moving. We have been looking for a house for three months now. The problem is finding the size yard I want for the price we want. Definitly needs to be big enough for my thirty or so brugs and large hoya collection. Besides all the other flowers that I plan to take with me.
