Seedling of Rosamond X L'amour

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

To give you a idea how large it is, I'm 5' 7".... Look at the size of that foliage? It's a hoot late at night, all the foliage points up. It has formed a Y I'm hoping to see a bloom before frost.
Seed came from Patricia in Ca, via Calla in TN ! Thank you ladies....

Let It Grow - - Eric Clapton

I’m standin’ at the crossroads
Tryin’ to read the weather signs
To tell me which way I should
Go to find the answer
And all the time I know
Get your brug and let it grow.

Let it grow, let it grow,
Let it blossom, let it flow.
In the sun and but not in the snow
Brugs are lovely, let it grow.

Lookin’ for a reason
To check out on my mind.
It’s so hard to find a
weather report that I can count on.
There’s nothin’ left to show,
Plant your brug and let it grow.

Let it grow...

Time is gettin’ shorter
And there’s much for you to do,
Only pray'n will get what you are needin’,
The rest is up to you.
Plant your brug and let it grow.
Let it blossom but don't let it snow.

Let it grow...

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Wow look at the size of those leaves. I sure hope it turns out to be a Prize.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

what a neat pic Kristi. you sure have beautiful brugs, those leaves are huge, are they the biggest you have? btw, i have that stuff growing in my water lily buckets, i know what to do with it now!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

SSUFFFFERING SUCATASH!!That is a Monster!!!

Homestead, FL(Zone 10b)

Wow Kristi! What a huge and beautiful plant you have there. I'll be waiting with great anticipation to see the blooms.

When did you plant the seed?

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

You guys are singing for it! How sweet *grin*. Told you it was getting big Gloria LOL. I planted this in the middle of Feb under lights. It is planted in the ground right now in 100% sandy soil.

I'm not so nervous kell, only because I don't think the buds will mature before the frost. I'd be more nervous if the buds were a bit bigger. Right now they are the size of a grain of rice- but I have buds. Small ones, but they are buds. I took the step ladder to check.

Arlene- get the gunk out of the buckets asap *grin*! I'm sure it does help, I'm just not sure how much.
I think this one is the largest leaf plant that I have. I'll have to go and check. I'll snap a daytime picture later.

Go to the first page with all the threads in the brug forum listed. There is a place to click on it at the top of the page.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

click on Plant database on the right menu, then pick brugs from the choices on the right. Best database on the web. oops, it's brugmansias.com :)

Kristi, that is huge. Sure hope you get to see a bloom before frost. What are you going to do with it next month. Will you cut it back and bring inside somehow.

Badseed, I too have about 25 seedlings in 4" pots and they also wilt in our heat. My greenhouse floor is swept but the bench is still loaded with misc. stuff that i have to sort and store. Too hot in there to work right now, guess will be okay next week. Donna
