That's really neat. It's a lot like one I purchased for $10 last year at the local garden center sale. We put them in the small pond at the side of the gazebo. In the large pond in back by the patio we have a larger set with colored lights. They look so beautiful at night.
Now if only mosquitos would become extinct!!!!!!!!!!!!
Underwater lights in the pond is a must! We have one that shines on our waterfall and two others directed into the pond. One is pretty well overgrown by the mint plant I stupidly put in my pond (I was thinking how nice it might look growing over the rocks that cover the sides of the biofalls...and it really does look nice there, but not smothering every other green thing in sight, too!)
Lotus, get some mosquito fish or Gamboozies, I believe thats correct spelling and name. their small and reproduce like crazy. but are small enough to get into creveses in the rock. $10 WOW! thats cheap good deal. Butterfly, do you think the lights heat increases the algae blooms if left on say overnight?
