Good morning farmers. Yesterday I went to look at a horse that is for sale, and no, it doesn't make much sense when I already have a few. This one is an Egyptian Arabian, was being conditioned for endurance until 3 months ago when his owner/rider died tragically. He seems to be a nice horse, I just looked but didn't ride him. The lady's husband will include all the tack in the deal, very reasonably priced horse, even my husband thinks so. I'm still thinking about it.
My greenhouse is ready to be picked up so we are borrowing a flatbed trailer and going after it probably today and will be comming home tomorrow with it all crated up. Exciting! The foundation is ready for it. And so am I!
Yesterday we went to pick up some feed at LaGrande and had dinner while we were there, it was hot and I didn't really want to cook. The bank thermometer said 102 but I think it was hotter there with pavement and buildings than it was here on the farm. The smoke from forest fires has made the sunrise and sunsets pretty with the sun a bright red, we have an overcast of smoke but don't smell it. None of the fires are real close but some have been burning for several weeks. The temp had cooled off to about 70 by bedtime with a little breeze.
Today I need to pick the green beans and some other vegies before we leave to get the greenhouse. The timing on this trip is good, I don't have a ride to go to this weekend and I've been home long enough to get everything watered.
I have a few more pictures that were taken at the ride last weekend that I will get posted in a few days.
Have a great day everyone, count your blessings.
