Hard Pollen

I have had fluffy pollen all summer.
Now to cooler, humid, and rain ..the ones I want to collect are hard.
Any ideas why?

No idea Alice. Mine was hard during the heat and now it is nice and fluffy, tho I don't have many blooms to collect from right now. Maybe it has something to do with humidity more than temperatures.

I dont know much about your climate zone. Here in th fall, due to cool temperatures, many brugmansias have none or only few pollen. Our nights temps are now close to frost.
It has big influence on the development of pollen.

We are still having 80's here and some 50's at night just the last couple of nights. I'm sure things will change here soon. I'm sure not looking forward to those fall days that means winter is just around the corner.
