New from SouthWest Arizona

Yuma, AZ(Zone 9b)

I just wanted to say Hi to everyone here and what a neat place this is.

I'm in Yuma Az and it's a wonder anything made it after the hot summer we have had this year.

I'm a mom that is going through the "empty nest" phase of life. My plants are taking the place of the kids 8-).
It's been great reading and learning on this site.

Hi beweav,,,,,,so glad to have you with us....Happy grardening and a warm Coast of Texas welcome from me to you .....What plants do you like... Do you just do flowers or veggies too......LUK..... :o)

Welcome, Beweav. We have a large and growing contingent from Arizona. Enjoy DG!

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

A warm welcome, beweav, from South Louisiana.

Plants are a lot like kids. Except they don't roll their eyes as much. And they don't stay out late on weekends. And you don't have to change dirty diapers, or potty train them or help them with homework ... but other than that ...

My one and only left home last year, which really gave me an opportunity to focus energy and attention on the garden this summer. It's good to have something else to focus on. Especially if it's something you love.

You are gonna love it here, so much to learn, so many knowledgeable people willing to feed your addiction. It's great!

This is a great site. I've learned a lot in the 2 months I've just been browsing. I've learned about plants I've never heard of before..

I love flowers mainly. Carnations are my favorite. I've fallen in love with moss rose and Flowering Maple is in a strong 3rd place. But I'm planning an herb garden and will try some other edible plants. After all it is almost lettuce season here.....

The hardest part of all of this is it being too hot to plant or do anything. Come on cool weather.....

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Welcome, Beweav ~ isn't there a Texas RU coming up soon? We are having a Kentucky based Round-up (RU) next weekend for the mid-west. They are great for meeting people in person :)

Hi from Tombstone, AZ
We are within driving distance so maybe we can meet someday.
I've had an emtynest for about 10+ years and at first it was hard but to tell you the truth, I'm throughly enjoying our home now. Just the two of us plus the two four legged kids.
Welcome to Dave's Garden. I've only been here a couple of months and I love it. I have learned so much and met such nice folks here.

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Welcome from Oregon. I'm over on the dry side of the state, the part you usually only hear about when it's on fire. You've been here long enough to realize this place is addictive so there is no point in warning you.....

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

Welcome beweave, its great to know other people within AZ. I've only been around DG for a couple months myself. Do you have a Pond? I have 3, and working on a 40ft. stream. I also do some gardening. AZ should all be getting together together for a roundup in Nov. sometime. Hope to see you then. Patrick
