A day with WolfDogs.

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

They eat poop howl and jump me everytime I enter the pen.
Dolly screams like a woman when she doesnt get her way.
Tez sneaks up behind me and bites my butt.
Abu just looks at us like were crazy.
And the cat...well he's a cat.

Today dolly will be tied to a home made rig.
She will pull logs and whatever else I can find.

Tez, he is too much like a wolf to wanna pull stuff,so I will teach him an assortment of useful tricks.

Boo, he will supervise.

Floppy the cat wont care less.

From Dollys` Huskie side, she adores pulling.
I made a harness for her out of old leads and a large horses halter.
It works great.

It took me all of and I am not exagerrating, ten minutes to train her to pull on command,to halt and to turn.
We're still working on the turn signal, but she was nearly done with it before we moved here.

In addition to staving off boredome, pulling things is a wonderful workout.

I've decided Tez's` inability to retain his proper weight has to with with two things.
Dolly hogging all the food and not enough exercise.

I have a sinking feeling Tez has been stunted,(his growth), by an improper diet.
Before coming to me, he was on a low protiene diet of doggy kibble.
I cant find a butcher, so now he is on the highest protiene doggy kibble I can find.

Yesterday Tez and I went to the creek to restock my mosquito fish supply.
I tie him to the bridge (no chance of him hanging himself)
as I fish.He plays in the water jumping and splashing,(throughly chasing all my fish away might I add).
It is a fun filled day for us.

No matter how many times I clean their pen lately it still smells.(it has been raining alot, that's why the smell lingers, gross.)
I have never smelled anything worse than wolf poop.

While cleaning their pen,Dolly harrasses me with sniffing, nipping and clawing.
Tez stays clear of the rake while sneaking up behind me and biting my butt.

They have learned (dolly anyway) to open the pen door.
I have to keep it locked at all times. ( i do that anyway, but it really sucks to have to lock the pen with me in it!)
So far I'm getting away with just putting the lock on without latching it fully.

Yesterday while coming home from the creek Tez and I ran into a bunch of kids.
I heard one young boy yell. (HOLY GOD IT'S A WOLF!)
His bulldog came running over to us.That dog barely even came to Tezs` knees. He wanted to eat her so very badly. She was clueless. The kid got lucky, the bulldog luckier.
(BTW,Tez was on a SHORT leash, while the kids dog ran freely. We have a leash law here.)
Was scared for a bit, but soon got over it while walking through the park.
Met some adults at the park.Didnt bother with polite conversation. They stopped talking entirely when they saw Tez.(what is it with people, havent they ever seen a girl with a wolf before?!) LOL.
Oh well, glad I dont like people, that could have scarred me for life.

After coming home, Tez was thirsty.
He decided my new goldfish breeding pond was the perfect thing to wet his whistle after a long day of fishing.
The fish will forever be scarred with terror. They blame me.
I over heard them plotting against me after that incident.

On a lighter note,I havent lost a finger yet!
