C Pink

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Just noticed this new one had bloomed this p/m.
This is the softest color of pink I believe I have ever seen!

Mollybee, that is the most delicate of pinks - - I wonder if it will darken up today? Nat

Molly, I think you've been holding out on us! Where did you get all these pretty Brugs?

Molly that is stunning. Maybe when it puts out some seeds- we could trade. ;-)

Just now went out and looked at it, and right now it is a little wilted but it is a shade darker. Hopefully it will firm back up this p/m when the sun goes down. If it does I'll get another pic of it then.

LOL Vi, Got most of my brugs from Larry (aka Daturapod)last fall as cuttings. Babied them all winter in the house.

Davena, In my 2 years of having brugs, I have never gotton one to make a seed pod. Don't know what I am doing wrong. Or what I "ain't" doing. Guess we could trade cuttings, if ya want. But I ain't holding my breathe for any seeds this year eaither LOL

What does the C Pink stand for in your title of this thread?
I also got some from Larry last fall.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

He had actually sent along plant labels with each one of the cuttings, and the tag on this one just said "C Pink" So your guess is as good as mine.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

what does it look like from the side? I would assume that C. pink is Candida pink, but it could be something else.

Here is the only other shot I have of it now, until later tonight.
Does this help to ID it any better tiG?

Strange how bright and early in the a/m it is firm and full, then it wilts during the day and then perks back up in the late evening.
This one does have a wonderful smell too!

Nice delicate pink.

Very pretty

This must be the Candida Pink. I got one from Larry too. I'll have to check mine for buds. It seems to be a slow grower here. Please post another picture tonite, Mollybee.

Just got back in, and it had done just as I thought. It had perked back up and is now a firm bloom again.
Although it isn't any darker at all, if anything it looks a little lighter in color.
Still has a hint of pink to it don't it?
It just has the one bloom, and I tell ya it is such a strong smell! ahhhhhhhh nutin better! :D

Sooooo pretty.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Such a nice sized flower for only having 4 tendrils/spurs. Very pretty and delicate looking in color.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

This bloom hasn't darkened much at all. Actually during the day it is kind light pink, then at night it gets lighter lighter pink.
This one is one of my fav's!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I didn't even notice there's only 4 spurs. You're very observant, Shirley :) I noticed today mine has a tiny Y. It probably won't have enough time to bloom this year.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I hope you have time for a flush. Our first frost is around the 10th of Oct. I think, so I'm counting on some time to see some first timers bloom at least a few blooms.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm afraid I'll have to be satisfied with Molly's pics. I do have plenty of first timers still to come. It's so cool to see them open for the time! I spose any new plant blooming is exciting....... especially when you've been babying them all year.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I think I just got lucky this year. Because I never even expected to get a Y let alone blooms! I am just beside myself when I go out there in the late p/m and all I can smell is the sweet smell of my Brugs!
Wish I could bottle that smell!
Now I just gotta figure out what to do with all the cuttings come this fall, I can't bare to put them in the compost pile!!
