I would have named this Comet, it looks like it is shooting downward thru the sky!

I am not sure the colors are that different but they sure show up better with the dark background.

I do too Kyle. I can see a difference, and I do think that taking a close up picture of a single bloom is more difficult, and what you get in the end depends greatly on how you do it. Nice pictures Kell. Wish your R. was darker too, but the genes are the same, right? Hope you are getting caught up on your yard work.

Hmmm I wonder why it turned out so lite colored as hot as its been. It's still very pretty.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I do not think it has been hot here though. So if it takes lots of heat to get dark colors I will cry!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Please don't cry, be happy you have RK, whatever it blooms like.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Glory. I meant on all my pinks not just RK. I saw Sue had a much darker Rosamond than mine blooms also. I can see it now that my double pink will be pale for me and deep magenta for all of you!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, my ForeverMorr is quite light today and not curling up either. We are in the sixties. I guess if it takes heat to make that one perform for me, then I'll have to wait until next year to see it do its thing. I think our terribly hot weather is gone now. I think your R. is beautiful anyway.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Great garden Kell, thanks for the photos.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Shirley, glad to hear your hot weather is behind you. You deserve a break.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Yes, and that means that Tuesday I can start working on mailings. It was just too hot to take cuttings before. I have a bunch of seeds to get mailed out too. Guess I should be working on getting everything ready, but today it is raining and that is something I won't complain about. Haven't cashed your check yet. Won't do that until I mail out.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Ack! It is mailing time?? Where is that list I made?? LOL
