Two gifts blooming

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

At the NERU crestedchik gave me some brug plants. Everyone wondered if I could fit them into my wagon. I brought them home and showered them with TLC and this is how they looked this morning [5 am]. Thanks crestedchik :-)This first one is white and has 15 blossoms, 11 currently opened.

I'll put these in the passenger seat and let my guest walk home :-)[Edit] I don't remember who took this and the above photo - but it wasn't me. Thanks to whomever.

It is wonderful that you are having blooms. Very pretty.

They look great Padre! CC was lucky to find such a good home for her big babies. Do you have them in the whiskey barrels?

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

No, Poppysue. When I got home from the roundup I rushed to get them planted. Since they were bare root I was afraid they would dry out and didn't even put them into 5 gal. pots :-( I just put them in the garden near the sidewalk alongside the building. Visitors are comming from other parts of the campus to see them in bloom. :-)

Great looking Brugs, Padre.

So I take it everyone appreciated your gardening efforts this summer Padre. DO you have any different gardening plans for next year?

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

I am clearing out a strip of weeds and untamed growth along a 125' fence between our property and the University property. It will provide me a place to grow more brugs, with varying degrees of shade from partial to full. Having learned this year about what to do and what NOT to do I will give more thought to my plantings. This year was mostly throwing things in and seeing what happened. I hope to be more knowledgeable and a little more organized next year. :-)

Padre, most of us start out that way. I'm still guilty of finding a spot and sticking it there.
