New Intros, Collectors Daylilies Fresh dug

I've got a few small fans to trade of the following newly introduced daylilies.

Jerry Nettles
Zephyr John
Julie Newmar
Spacecoast Bull Gator
Spacecoast Dragon Prince
A bodacious pattern

I consider these "Special" trades. Currently I'm focusing on named passifloras, aristolochias, arisaemas, amorphophallus (sp), crinums, amaryllis, asarums, tropicals, sarracenias, and anything else cool or unusual. Not your common stuff kinda plants.
thnx

Jerry Nettles is a $200 daylily that was released in the spring of 2003 by John Kinnebrew. It is a highly sought after daylily, and you surely know that you could get quite a bit of $$$ for it on the Lily Auction. Why are you offering it in trade for some fairly common tropical houseplants in the $20-30 range?

In fact, if you do indeed have the daylilies that you listed, you are sitting on $600-800 worth of daylilies. I am at a loss as to why you wouldn't sell them and use the cash to buy the tropical plants you are looking for. You would certainly get more plants that way.

Am I missing something here? It is not my wish to offend anyone or hurt anyone's feelings, but this has bothered me all night. If I'm wrong, I sincerely apologize, but I have a bad feeling about this.

I have an empty mailbox waiting on the last trade we did. Feel free to add any or all of these daylilies to that pkg.
Girlfriend, I believe youve been found out.

Did you all see Flutterbygarden's other post and the response in Vines and Climbers?

There is something rotten in Denmark here. I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed, but I KNOW daylilies. These are NOT daylilies that you trade, and I doubt she has them. She could send you anything and you wouldn't know it for a full year.

If I'm wrong, I'll gladly apologize publicly and promise never to jump to conclusions again.

If I'm right, it may save someone alot of grief.

Tell me about it-- JERRY NETTLES had a waiting list, and was sold out almost immediately.

Which makes this trade thing even MORE implausible.

Two corny cliches:

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Let the Buyer/Trader beware.

Wanda! LOL I think you already dug up half your garden trading with me!! I received your box today, my goodness
where to begin! The plants are in just beautiful condition and the greeting cards are one of a kind masterpieces.

Flutterbygarden,

Please don't waste your time sending me e-mails. I'm not buying what you're selling.

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

And we're so happy you do!
I figure by next summer you'll have everything that I have, and I'll have about 1/3 of what you do!~

It's people like you Wanda and Davena, who make me smile and remind me that the good outweigh the bad!

I just really despise it when the bad take advantage of the good.

Thank you Indashade for expressing your opinions.

I guess anytime you trade for things such as brugs, daylilies, daffodils and plants that have to bloom before being identified it's possible they aren't what was promised.

However, As I said in my first post I have small fans fresh dug for special trades. Sizes vary upon variety. Email me if interested or you need more specifics.

I will gladly ship first. Thanks for the warm welcome to Dave's Garden!

It wasn't just me. I had a bad feeling, but there were others who were brave enough to speak up about it, via private e-mail and on DG.

I think we should all just let this go now. :-)

crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Wow!!! I had not idea this kinda stuff happened! Gonna go dry alot better behind my ears!!!!!
