Watermelon Lemonade recipe

Watermelon Lemonade

8 cups of watermelon, cut up in 1 inch squares and seeded
1 cup fresh strawberries, cut in quarters
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
1 cup sugar
water

After cutting watermelon and strawberries and getting lemon juice, pulse in a food processor until no more chunks. Strain through a fine strainer to get any seeds or pulp out. Put in a 1 1/2 quart container. add sugar and enough water to fill (you may not need any water).

Pour into glass of ice and enjoy. Yum yum.

I made this for the farmers' market this weekend and it was so good. It is a little time consuming to deseed the melon, so you may want to try a good seedless that has a good sweet flavor. I used a Blue Belle melon, aka Sugar Baby or Jade Star. Fresh strawberries are a must as are fresh lemons. Try not to substitute anything. :) Enjoy.
