Welcome, HoneyGirl! DG is wonderful, and somewhat addictive. You will love it here.
There are quite a few from Ohio here, you'll fit right in.

Welcome Honeygirl...you have landed amoung the best friends you'll ever make. Lot's of Ohians...wonder where they are today....working in the yard? How strange! LOL Come to the KY Round Up...some from Ohio will be there. Jo
All these people from Ohio and I have never heard of half the places they are from despite living here for 35 years! LOL Welcome Honeygirl!! Now you are here for the long haul. :) So, where is Green?
Badseed - Green is a small community about 15 miles north of Canton. There are some new developments, but most of Green is rural. I've been a city kid all my life, and moved here 5 years ago. I live in the more rural part.
I visited Cinci a few years ago. It is a beautiful city.
Thank you all for the warm welcome !
Hi HoneyGirl! I live on the far east side of Columbus - I lived in the Northwest section of Canton in the early 60's - not far from Lake Cable. I went to school with some of the Belden kids, long before there was a Belden shopping center. In fact, the Football Hall of Fame had just been built when my family moved to Columbus. There are a LOT of people from Ohio here and a lot of great gardeners from around the world. If you love gardening, you will really love DG's.
Hi, HoneyGirl - welcome! I'm Whiterose's niece, and live in central Ohio. You're not very far at all. My mom and dad frequently drive up to Akron to visit family. Everything in Ohio is close, for that matter! :)
Gardenwife - I lived on North Hill for over thirty years. Where does your family live ?
PS Is it o.k. to "chat" in a thread ? I don't want to break the rules or annoy anyone.
Hey, this is your thread and it's just fine! :)
Folks often deviate a little from the topics at hand when to; while it's not ideal in some cases, it happens and no one seems to be slammed for it. Most of the time, someone will just gently say "let's start a new thread about such-and-such".
I'll have to have my mom (Lotusblossom) post about Akron - it's my step-dad's family that lives up there, and I'm not sure where they are.
Welcome, HoneyGirl :) I grew up on the West side of Cleveland and we found ourselves transplanted to Dayton. Not so bad after the first five years ~ lol. A lot more sun and winter doesn't start nearly as early as it does in Canton! A LOT more sun here!!!
It would be a long trek to the Kentucky Round-Up, but we'd love to meet you there :) It's in Prizer Point, KY, and will be my first RU!
Welcome to DGs!
Welcome HoneyGirl. DG is a nice friendly place as you can see, we have a lot of fun and learn a bunch of good stuff too.
Welcome HoneyGirl,
