This looks so much like a cactus. I'm wondering if this gets a bloom?...Interesting!! Does it have thorns? farizona

Was this one at Huntington Gardens? I love the euphorbias and started a collection in San Diego many years ago, but they hated it when I moved them to No Cal and I haven't the room here in Laguna to start such an endeavor. There are so many of them!

It has thorns and yes, it flowers... but the flowers are pretty disappointing/insignificant. The thorns run along the edges of the plant and are short, thick and not always that sharp... totally unlike a cactus.

I have what I think is this plant it is a single trunk (I call it a trunk because of it's size) I put this out in the summer and it grows - now it's time to bring it in and it is over 9' tall, it's not coming in since my ceilings are only 8'. Question is how to "trim" - "cut" it ????
Any help would be greatly appreciated
This plant bleeds white "milk" it has thorns not spines.
will try to send image later

if your plant has a single trunk and is 8' tall, it is another species of Euphorbia (there are thousands), not this one. Cut by just cutting... just don't get sap in your eye, skin or clothes.
