Do they grow flowers the first year?
yes, started them from seeds. Where you are, you'll have to let them reseed or plant from seed the following year as they are only hardy in zones 9 and 10 from what I've read. Don't worry though, you'll have plenty of seeds. Here's what they looked like in June as seedlings

Count me in - those are pretty. Meant to tell you - have a lot of the red moonflowers seeds now. I'll get them out to you tomorrow or when I get back from vacation. Can you set some of those seeds aside for me - and I'll include a stamp for you later.

flow - that could be quite a few. I'll send you 30 monster seeds (6 is enough to cover a whole fence) - wait til you see how big they are. For the seeds for me, just set them aside in my "wish" pile. I might find a few more interesting things as you post. ;-) And they're no growing this time of year.
