Have you ever laughed so hard you cried? Well today I did. The UPS truck pulled up during the storm. He came to the back door and, being quite a card, told me to hurry up, that he was getting wet. Of course I told him I hoped he got soaked because we need the rain. Anyway, he handed me this large package and left. I carried it to the kitchen and looked at the return address and thought to myself, "what is she sending me this time?" Of course, a package from a good friend and fellow gardener is always exciting. So, since I'm like a kid at Christmas when I get a package to open, I started tearing into it to see what kind of plant she sent me and I started laughing like a fool when I had finally pulled the packing back to find three packages of Cape Cod potato chips. Nope....it wasn't a Rothkirch or a Rubirosa, or anything exotic, but let me tell you.....those are some great chips. Thanks dear friend, for sending them to me. What a treat and surprise. I don't think I can ever top this one!!
Have you ever........
How cute! I agree, those are some GOOD chips.
ROTFLOL Gosh Shirley, had I known you needed some chips..............LOL Gotta love friends.
Heck, that's almost better than a RK or Rubirosa, well almost! Don't eat them all at once, but can't leave them setting around, especially if is raining and damp, they will become softand get stale.
LOL!I am so glad you are getting Rain!!!!!Seen it south!
LOL Brugie! Did you get the dark amber ones? YUM YUM!
Sure did Kell and Jim said "well, I know what I'm having with my lunch tomorrow". Think I'll hide a couple bags of them, just in case he really likes them.
Bob, we got a little bit, but I spent a lot of time staking brugs after it was all over. What a mess. I'm sure that next summer will have to be better.
Brugie..thats what you said..LAST summer! LOL This IS next summer........LOL Save me a bag of those chips!!!;-)
hey if Jim really likes them I bet I know where you can get more!
Several years ago my friend Casey who lives on the Cape sent me the Cape Cod White Cheddar Popcorn, a box of them. I just loved that present. I wonder if everyone on Cape Cod are fat and very happy! LOL They sure make great chips and popcorn!
Surprises are always fun! Ok, better make that, GOOD surprises are always fun!
I laughed like that a couple of weeks ago. I was holding my almost one year old nephew in my lap, and he was drinking pop from a fast food cup. (it was the end of a drink, and mostly water) Alex kept on trying to pull the straw out of the cup, but I had my hand on the straw and wouldn't let him. He finally got disgusted with the game, and shoved the straw all the way through the bottom of the cup. I handed it to someone else with my hand over the bottom to help keep the liquid in the cup, but was laughing so hard that I couldn't explain what he'd done. I handed them a cup spewing pop, and was laughing so much that I couldn't even talk!
I'll save you a few chips, but don't wait to long. They will be stale like Hibiscus said. Especially in this heat and humidity. Think I'll go have a few chips right now. White cheddar popcorn sounds good too. Boy, we miss out on so much living in the Midwest. However, we do have good beef and sweetcorn. It just doesn't ship well.
Sounds like a great surprise to me. I love white cheddar popcorn. I try and buy only small bags of the chips or else puppy and I will eat the whole bag with dip of course. I think we have Cape Cod around here do I need to stock the trunk up when I come out?
I may get my tummy full. Gosh, three bags is a lot of chips. If you find the cheddar popcorn, I'd sure try that. I'll let you know about the chips closer to travel time. Thanks!!
Deb are you going to visit Brugie? What fun you will have. Have her make you her special dip. She dips her snowpeas in it. It is so good!
