Does anyone on here grow Kyle Courtney's brugs? I have seen pictures of so many beautiful ones. I just saw Mona Onstot on Monica's website and it looks gorgeous.

Yes Mini,I would like to do a garden next year of just Kyle Brugs,I had the privilege of meeting him,and he is as nice a guy,as his Brugs are Grand!!!!

I think Kyle is very responsible with his crossings. He is watching them very carefully before giving away.
I very like that way.

Mini......Mona Onstot was named after an aunt of mine(very distant) but she loved flowers and always shared her advice with me.So after her death I named a Ver EP hybrid cross after her.It won't be released at least not till I'm sure its good and tough...so far its touchy with the heat.so maybe some day.I don't like to relaese hybrids anymore till they prove themselves. When I started hybridizing..no one else was.....so I released several that today aren't really up to standard. But pretty still.

Thanks everyone for answering my question. Kyle, you have a lot of beautiful brugs. In fact, seeing a picture of one of yours is what got me started wanting all of them. I'm not familiar enough with anything but the older varieties to know which ones would hold up in our South Texas heat, but maybe if I read enough I'll find out. I just want nearly everyone that I see. The only varieties that I'm not too crazy about are the gold ones. Maybe, that's because I have a large one growing in my backyard that was supposed to be pink.

Mini....I like all colors of em..but then..thats just me!!LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

So Kyle, how many of them are you responsible for and how long have been hybridizing? Is this info on a site somewhere and I just haven't been there? I am a research junkie. LOL I love to read.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You know, if I search by Kyle Courtney, I get all sorts of unrelated info about kids and volleyball. LOL I did also get links to a few sites that sell or list Kyle's hybrids. If I search my name and brugs, I only get three hits and they all come back to DG.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Badseed...I started breeding brugs in the early 80's I had 3 kinds and wanted more..no one sold any so I started crossing them.Learned all my info from experimentation ..trial and error. The reason most of my early hybrids were so "White" was because our gene pool was very limited for many years. Now in the last year or two we have added many many new genes to our hybrids..so many new lovely hybrids await.

Go On.
Canīt wait to watch it.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Kyle, please, please, please come up with a double pink. Please, please, please.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

What a compliment Kyle! Well deserved at that. Were you blushing when you saw the thread? LOL

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

kell I never blush!! **BLUSHING** LOL

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Okay, that makes me have to ask (remember I'm new to brugs so no laughing).... Are there any brugs that are doubles like double or triple daturas? Please excuse my ignorance.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

lol Morph, haven't you been to the brug sites in Europe? Lots of double brugs over there. some here also. but so far not the in the colors they have there. Do a brug search on google for euro nurseries. Check out the pictures on the different brug societies. Here is great one
http://www.americanbrugmansia-daturasociety.org/brugmansia%20species.htm
and BGI has a great gallery also.

But once you take a peek you may look at our brugs with some disappointment! LOL

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Thanks, Kell. No, I haven't ventured to Europe yet via the internet ~ lol.

Thanks for the link :) No disappointment here ~ heck I have one trying to bloom and that is just about as exciting as it gets around here! Thanks ☺
