Not as exactly white, is he? His wings have iridescent blue segments along the edges. He's a real handsome fella!

Very pretty. That's one that doesn't come this far south. I have it's relative the Red Spotted Purple instead.
He's a beauty. I was hiking the other day and one flew by and I wasn't sure of the name. This thread answered it for me. Here is a great butterfly site. The pictures move and it also tells what flowers they like with pictures.
