to TLC57 your newly acquired plant of the Firecracker apricot colored flower is magnificent!! Where did you get it. Can I order one for myself? Thanks. gfc

gfc,

I purchased it at our local Nursery, in Longmont, CO.
"The Flower Bin". They do not have a website, I checked.

It is a very healthy plant, with several newly sprouted
stalks yet to bloom. New plant for me, I'm excited to
watch it grow.

From what I heard, C. infundibuliformis is an important flower crop in india.
As for care, place in light shade to direct sunlight, keep well watered and regularly trim back to keep compact (mine is due for a trim). Trimming also encourages addtional blooms.
It will flower constantly though I find that older plants have less blooms open at one time. Seeds are guaranteed to happen and germinate best when fresh.

I also received one of these plants as a gift and had no idea how to care for it. I appreciate the information, especially on the seeds.
