Double White

(Zone 5a)

This is my first bloom this year. I am so glad that this one made it through the winter. I bought it last summer and it was such a tiny plant then and it's not much bigger now.
The name tag said it was a double white but nothing else.

Great looking bloom. So nice and white....pure looking. Bet you are enjoying the heck out of it.

Kell I got so excited to see it bloom finally that I didn't even think to take a sniff, just a minute I have to go find out, no they are not fragrant at all but I know have another bloom open.

Brugie I sure am and if I had the garden space I would have more but I am happy with the three I have.

I sometimes come to this forum just to see all the lovely brugs that are blooming while trying to learn the names and all the different abbreviations you guys have for them, I feel so lost and over whelmed but I still can admire the beauty of all the brugs photos posted here.

very beautiful Wind. Congrats on your bloom.

Thank you and I am so proud of it.

Very nice, wind! You should be proud! Do you have any pollen to put on it?

(Zone 5a)

No not yet it's the only one blooming. I forgot to collect it last year. I have a pink one, that's the way it was labeled when I bought it, and a Jean Passco and they do have buds but haven't opened yet.

when one of them open, you should stick the pollen in the fridge to use as needed. You may get a double if you put the other pollen on CDW!

Are you sure Lupy was not in your garden just before you went out and oversniffed your brug's scent right out of it? Sounds like it to me for CDW has a great fragrance.

(Zone 5a)

Kell she might have, she did get some pictures of it *giggle* She is going to kill me.
Can you tell me what the C in CDW means? Should I get the pollen as soon as the flower opens and can I put it in foil and freeze it over the winter?

Kell, no, you got it backward! Wind comes and steals all the fragrance from MY flowers ;D
