ok heres some cuttings that I would like to plant out soon IF the weather ever cools off----how do you know they are mature enough to be allowed to go dormat in the fall and over wintered inside. I cant keep them plus all the other brugs in a growing state this winter since I dont have enough space and light source, but cant bear the thought of starting from scratch next spring?

So, if you keep your cuttings in the recycle bins, does that mean you keep your garbage in pots??? LOL Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;)
I don't allow my brugs to go totally dormant during the winter. Guess I'm too afraid they won't wake up. Most of mine are saved as cuttings anyway and I'm not sure they would survive going dormant. Would have to test that. Anyway, make sure they have a good root system on them. You will get that from starting with small pots and working up as the pots get full of roots. If you have strong roots, your plants should make it through the winter with some heat and a little light. I don't fertilize mine much at all during the winter, but in February, I do start so they will begin to grow and be ready for outside planting. I know I haven't really answered your questions, but my fingers did the talking!!
