That's pretty! I'm going to get some cannas next season; haven't seen many in yards around here - definitely under-utilized. How short is "short"? How big is this bloom?

The flowers are good sized and the plant is about 2 feet tall.Can be ordered from Brent and Beckys bulbs

delecie you should be able to leave them in the ground all winter in zone 10 mulch the tubers in very cold weather.
