Snowbank question

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

My snowbank has two TINY buds, but hasn't formed a Y. Has anyone had this happen?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Does it have a mini Y that you just can't see yet?

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I don't see one Susie. I tried to take a picture of the bud, it's to small.

Such easy,lol:

You have a rooted flowertwig. They donīt need an Y.
( A flowertwig is a cutting from the flower region )

Think so Ludger? That would explain it. I thought this Snowbank came from Tissue Culture. That's what I get for thinking *grin* Thanks

datdog ..
I have not checked for this with 'Snowbank'.
But have it no Y to bloom on 'Golden Lady'.
Bloom comes right out the top. ???

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I too have had a stalk bloom right at the top, right before the Y forms. I know mine wasn't a tip cutting because the blooms were on a spike that came out from the ground.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

sounds like theres an exception to every rule?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Plays,
am thinking the same...:-)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Well lucky you, Kristi, having an exception to the rule.
Let's see it when it does bloom. Mine is just barely growing, been cool and wet here.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Cala it does have a little Y forming. I'm guessing the buds will stay small for some time.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

My Snowbanks is growing very slowly, and no sign of a bud or a Y. It is my favorite foliage, and so far the bugs don't eat it.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I have buds, but it is a very short plant compared to my other brugs.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

I guess I might just grow Snowbank for the foliage even without any bloom. It is my prettiest plant, and like someone said above the bugs aren't bothering it. Donna
