My lotus did not give me any flowers this year :(

I bought it last year and I did get a few flowers then. Overwintered it at the bottom of the pond about 2.5'-3' down. I did fertilize it with pellets a few time this year.
It gets about 5-6 hours of sunlight during the day.
It has plenty of leaves, altought most of them are coming out close to the edge of the pot.
Could it be potbound? How often do you repot it?
Any ideas? Thanks

Is it possibly too early? Mine just finished its second flower and the first pod has not ripened yet.
