I have Y's! I have Y's!! Remember the broken Gypsy Queen? She shot out two branches and both just Y'd with buds. :) I'm gonna have two bloomers! LOL

Badseed, I'm so glad it Y'ed for you. I felt so terrible when I heard that "crack" and knew the plant had broken. I wanted so much for you to have a blooming plant, then I broke it! You will have flowers soon. That one smells good too.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I told you not to worry. :) And it smells good? It is close to the big brothel Datura so that side of the yard should be interesting! LOL It has cooled off some and the windows are open for now so maybe I will get to enjoy the scents!

While I am at it, these were some of the seeds I tested for you. :)

Oh boy!!! Shoot the fertilizer to them, they love it! Congrats on the buds!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I just hit them with a foliar feed of strong MG. I'm gonna have to buy some more. I have been feeding them a combo of MG, epsom and a bit of seafood emulsion. I sure hope the rest of them do something soon. French Vanilla looks like it is about to Y as well. And my seedling bed has some pretty tall ones now. Hoping..........

Badseed, those seedlings look great!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Looking good Michele. Hope your bigger seedling will bloom for you. Most of mine have been Y'd for a long time now and they have tiny buds that just won't grow. Anyone know why buds just sit for weeks and don't grow and are they still going to be blooms?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

How can I be dissapointed?? My big one from you has six more buds that should pop in a few days and a bunch more smaller ones that will bloom after that. I sure am enjoying that brug! Oh, the pollination did not take. :( I am going to try again though. LOL If I can figure out a way to pot them all, I intend to bring them all in until next year and try again.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That was supposed to say seedlings up in my last post. I didn't have any luck pollinating Pristine either. I'll keep trying. Maybe when it cools down it will work for me.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Do you know if Kyle has had any luck pollinating any of his? I am suddenly curious. It was my first attempt so I can live with failure. LOL

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Congrats Bad post pic for us she blooms.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You know Susie, I just remembered, I rooted the piece that broke off! Do you think that one will bloom any quicker, slower or about the same? I'll have to go find her. She is somewhere by the pond.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Your with 'Y' chele! YEAH.... You were dancing in the birthday suit under the moon, weren't you? I TOLD you it worked,LOL.....

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I tried Kristi, really I did. After I blacked both my eyes and the dogs buried their heads in embarassment, I decided to just use MG. LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Chele, the tip part that broke off might bloom faster, it's worth a try.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Michele, I don't know, but I think I remember him talking about pollinating Full Moon and I think that is the sister plant he kept.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Great brugs Chele, sounds like you have caught "it" bad!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Apparently I have caught a lot of things lately. LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I just located the rooted tip of Gypsy Queen and am ready to smack myself or cry. LOL The leaves on the tip are missing but it looks like it is putting out more up there. Well, I looked very close and found a tiny Y at the tip with an itsy bitsy bud in the center. Well, I was spritzing with diluted MG and blew the bud right off. WAAAHHHH! What causes the tips to die out like that? The stem is still green but on others I have had a whole tip croak then the plant shoots out a new stem near the bottom. Why?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I have not had that happen to me so I can't say. Maybe someone else has seen that happen. Sorry about your bud, but more will come!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm losing buds from heat. Even large buds. I wonder if too much moisture could do the same thing.
