cuttings available

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

I have some cuttings I am rooting if anyone wants them. They are just a plain old pink, the plant that they came from is one someone gave me, he said he got it from Wayside Gardens. Maybe someone out there that is "in the know" would be able to tell me what the true name is. Anyway, if anyone wants any of these for postage, LMK.

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

No more cuttings..........I threw them out since no-one was interested. You never know unless you ask, right?? :>)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Sorry you had to throw those away Anna. Newbies don't want old brugs anymore, just the latest and the best! The ones we all have had to work for, and wait so long to get!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Somehow I missed your post. I'm a newbie and would have loved to get some "plain ole pink." LMK if you have more.
Thanks, Linda

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Bless you Linda, it's newbies like you we don't mind going the "extra mile" for.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I probably would have begged but I just now saw this! LOL Are these the same as the ones you sent me a couple of months ago? They are doing great!!

Anna, it was nice of you to offer. I never saw this thread myself. True, many people like to know the names of their plants so they can learn more about them and to use when making future trades. Anyone who missed out: there are usually lots of brug cuttings available later on in the fall when people start thinking about overwintering their plants; these will most often be named. Why not start out with the best? Your turn to share with enthusiastic new brug-fans will come! John

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Like the others I missed this one too. Does that mean we weren't supposed to have these to begin with? :(
I would have gladly taken some as I'm starting to get my neighbors hooked.......LOL

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

The only brugs that I was familiar with until a few weeks ago were Insignis Pink, Suavelons Pink, Versicolor Peach and a gold one I've had for sometime. Now I'm going crazy seeing all the new ones. Since I haven't actually seen any of them blooming in person, I don't know if they are really that much prettier than the old ones. Several years ago I had the above-mentioned varieties and I just loved them. I had a greenhouse back then and over-wintered them there, so they grew quite large. When we moved, I left them there for the new owners. I didn't know about rooting cuttings, etc. Now I want them all. Must be getting greedy in my old age.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

Darn, I would have loved some too! I don't know how I didn't see the post!

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Too late again :(

I like them all ~ named or not! Sorry that you pitched them, Anna_Z.

I think we might be a little behind in catching new posts (I know I am!) as I am busy in the garden, getting ready for school, and volunteering to an absurd extreme right now!

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Impatience had got the better of Anna_Z?? Loss to many newbies.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I miss the ones with no picture also sometimes. They are so narrow they get lost between the big picture ones.

Independence, MO(Zone 5a)

I am a newbie and would have loved to try my hand at them....I am still trying to find my way to all the different forums....If you want to get rid of anymore Let me know.

Welcome Tracey, keep tuned and in a month there should be more cuttings available!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

xvMercy, I have two small brugs that I started from a seed mix that you are more than welcome to have for postage. Since they are from a mix, I'm not sure what they are but seem to be two different ones as one has more velvety leaves than the other. They are about 6" tall. Let me know, just send me an email if you want them :)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Rootdoctor is in your area and I'll bet he would be happy to give you some starts later this fall. He's quite a guy and great at sharing. That would actually be easier than getting them through the mail. Hey Doc!! Someone else needs a little help out there. LOL!! See how good I am at giving away someone else's plant material??? It really isn't quite time to take cuttings since there is still bloom time left, but I'm sure some of us can help you out later. If Doc can't help, email me. I'll see what I can do the first part of October to help you.

If anyone is still giving cuttings away I would love one. Let me know. Somehow I missed this post, too :(

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

kricket, I don't have any more seedlings but I could share some seeds. They are a mix though so not sure what you'll get. I was given some named seeds but will have to start some of those myself first ;)

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

kricket . . I have numberous brug cuttings that are rooting now and I would be glad to send you some. Please email me by clicking on my user name.

Monroe, LA(Zone 8a)

I am a newbie who is now the proud owner of 6 small brugs. Flowox gave me the first 4 (Thank you! Thank you!) and they're doing great! I don't know the names of any of them and I don't care! I'm just so excited to have them! Even if I had seen the offer I probably would have passed on it because as a newbie I don't think I could do justice to any more plants. I would just feel awful if I took on more plants than I could handle and they died.

I'll bet you a nickel that if you had posted this on the "Trading" forum you would have gotten more offers than you could handle! Most stuff seems to disappear over there in a few hours... And then the begging starts :-)

Mary Ann
