EE questions

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

A friend of mine gave me two EE's and of course it ended up in another addiction.
I have Black Magic and it is sending out long runners with babies that turned out to be easy to cut off and root, one month after I got the plant I already have 6 babies in pots and could do more, amazing!
The main plant also seems to be splitting into four. Is that a correct observation? Does it have something like a bulb under ground?

I also have Illustris and it is not sending out runners, but there are about 10 babies growing around the main plant, see photo. Can I dig some of these up without hurting the big plant?
More questions in a minute.

Since these turned out to be such fun plants to grow I bought another EE at a nursery. It was called Voodoo, but I can't find any EE anywhere on the internet with that name. Is there such a plant?
That's the one in the photo.
While surfing around, I realized there are several different EE's, but I couldn't find any explanation as to what the difference is between Colocasia, Alacasia, X...somethingoranother, and there was one more. Is there a web page out there that explains the difference? Or does anyone of y'all experts know?

The diff,is how the leaf connects, among other things, here is an Alocasia(stand up) behind a Colocasia, notice the way Colo. leaves fold over,Alo. stands up.

Thanks for the help. Nice link, but now I'm going to have to find that variegated one.
So can I dig up an Illustris baby with out hurting the big plant, or do I have to dig the whole plant up and divide it?

Now this is just me!I am a mean pruner!(LOL,I'm sure Shirley will agree)If I was wanting to pull babies and spread them,I'd get under it with a shovel, lift, seperate babies, and fill the hole with compost, replace original plant and water heavy, water heavy on the moved babies.I would prune all back to a very few,if not one leaf.on Ears I look for the center leaf, with the bulge of a new leaf coming.
Root.

I think I will leave it alone until next year then. It has only been in the ground a month or so. It already has 10 babies. The Blackmagic has runners on top of the ground so they where easy to cut off.
I had no idea these guys would run that far from the mother plant. I only dug a decent size hole and amended it.
Thanks,
Kris
