Monika or Ludger Do I have Goldens Kornett here.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

I'm beginning to think I can't trust the brugs I got from this person. Pic from first blooming to 3 days old. Please check the Raffaela thread also.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I'm not blaming this girl, she got them in good faith from....

Here is a pic. Sure looks like it might be the one.

Hope it is clear, with all the writing.

Donna, in monika's book she said it's a golden yellow color but that there are several cultivars that are sold under that name. She's got her garden tour this weekend, busy busy.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Donna, do you have the Preissel book? There's a good picture of one in there. Back cover. Looks like it has very long tendrils.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Donna, it is not aurea goldenes Kornett but a Multihybrid with much suaveolens influence.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Thanks so much Monika. I guess I made a couple of good trades for a couple of bads ones LOL. Gloria please e-mail the person and let her know what she is trading has the wrong names(Raffaela and Goldenes Kornett anyway). I didn't keep her e-mail I was so dissappointed in the size and condition of the cuttings I knew I wouldn't be trading with her again. I would deffinately call off the trade you are making with her. There is no telling what you'd end up with.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I wonder if this person just took a look at the different galleries and tried to make IDs.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I have Goldenes Kornett from a trade too. Wonder if it's from the same person? I think that's a lovely flower, Donna. Even if it isn't the real deal. My first bloom is just starting to come now. The tendrils are just showing and they sure are squiggly.

Sue, keep us posted. Love that bud. What curly tendrils.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

That is a beauty Sue. Please email me! I still am ongoing with emails from this person.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

PoppySue it came from a lady in Florida. I hope if it isn't it at least turns out as pretty as mine. Is there any way to tactfully let others know who this person is so no one else make good trades for bad trades with her. I had met her when I was going to Garden Web.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I am trying to find out who she got them from. She is emailing me. Sure need some input from Sue........? I really don't want to be nasty!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Gloria what did she say when you told her that she sent out 2 wrong named brugs??

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

She said she was surprised as they always sent her the correct ones. Went on to say she was rooting the other three I had wanted! Either she is playing "dumb", or dooesn't know her brugs???????

I am still trying to find out who is sending these to her.
I need to know!

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Monika is right:-)...
it´s a nice suavolensmultyhybrid. I have had a similar looking Brug.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Gloria if you want only correct brugs from her make her send blooming pictures and we can all help ID them here. If she doesn't have any pics don't trust her. Kell what's the lyrics. Once bitten Twice shy baby. LOLOL!!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

She said she didn't have a digital camera, so guess I would have to trust her?

Bitten once, shame on you, bitten twice, shame on ME!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Did the lady in Florida buy them from somewhere, or get them in a trade? I got a Raffaella from a guy in California in trade, but I won't cut it back & share until after it blooms, just in case it was mismarked. I got it last summer, a small cutting, it's grown a lot, but hasn't bloomed yet.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Here it is opened up this afternoon. It looks like the same one Donna has...

It's about 14 inches long...

And here it is just as it was starting to get dark tonite.

Sue: I sure like it, even if it is not the correct one.

Ronna: That's who this gal traded with. Sorry to tell you, but it is probably the same one Donna got! I know nothing.....forget I said that.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I like it too. I'm looking forward to see how dark the color gets. It's been cold here, in the low 50s at night. I wonder if that will effect the color...

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Don't know, I liked Donnas' also, it is a pretty one.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

I had a feeling that it might be the same one. I wondered where he got all those euro brugs! Oh, well, I'll just have to wait for blooms (like I DON'T wait for blooms, anyway!)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Great pics. Love that color Donna.

Poppysue, I think I am going to get a Nikon coolpix 4300. I just love your closeups. I read it does not do night photos well though
Do you find that?

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Ronna I have my fingers crossed for you. I hope it is truly a Rafealla. Please remember me if it is. I don't know where the girl got the cuttings.
PoppySue I need to come visit you. Wow 50 degree nights. Your brugs are going crazy blooming I bet. My love it when we get cool nights. 75 tonite so it's a lot coller than it has been. We are supposed to be having a cool front by the week end. I sure hope so even if it is only for a few days.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Mine has turned quite orange.

Sorry, nope!!! CG

May be CG looks different in my climate.

Here CG does not have that look.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Think that is still a pretty one, whatever it is.
